Austin regional Spelling Bee

Raindroplets proudly sponsors the 2025 Austin Regional Spelling Bee. The journey begins at the classroom level, where champions advance to the school-wide spelling bee. School champions then compete for a spot in the Austin Regional Spelling Bee program. Before reaching the regional bee, school champions must take an online written test via the Scripps Online Testing Portal, which will determine our top spellers and participants in the Austin Regional Spelling Bee. The event will feature 30 of the area's top student spellers 

The Austin Regional Spelling Bee champion will be awarded a trip to Washington D.C. for 'Bee Week' and guaranteed participation in the national competition, the Scripps National Spelling Bee.  

Onsite regional spelling bee location and date information will be posted as we get closer to the event.

Important dates:

• 01/22/2025: School Level Competition Closes

• 01/28/2025: School Champion Registration Deadline

• 02/03/2025 – 02/14/2025: Regional Qualifier (OTP) Date

• Onsite Regional Spelling Bee Date - Saturday, March 8th 1:00 PM at the Kunkel Room in Buda Elementary Campus, located at 300 San Marcos St., Buda, Texas.
